Direct to Film Transfer - our new favourite thing in the Shear/Rural shop!
They are hot peel and you can use your regular iron
1) set your iron to the highest setting . If you have actual numbers 270-300 degrees .
2) using firm pressure press straight down on the design for 15 seconds . If your iron does not cover the whole design , press down for 15 seconds in sections .
- has to be on a flat surface - you won’t want ironing board grid lines in your design
You can use parchment over top or you can iron directly on the film . It will not melt it
If will NOT affect the design if some areas get overlapped or presses twice .
If some areas have cooled by the time you are done just give them a quick warm up.
Once you’ve pressed the whole thing peel slow . If any areas look like they aren’t going to release just lay it back down and press that spot again.
Once it’s peeled off , cover with parchment or resuse the film and give it another set of 15 second presses .
If you have a heat press
1) 270 degrees at med-firm pressure
2) 15 seconds - hot peel ( if any areas are having trouble releasing. Press again with higher pressure )
3 ) peel
4) press again for 15 with parchment or the film
Voila
Transfers are washable , and have stretch
