Key Fob Tutorial

Key Fob Tutorial
During our 12 days of Christmas, Lindsey shared how to make these cute little wristlet key fobs! They are a perfect scrap buster, gift and accessory! Bonus, finding your keys (that you lose 5 times a day) will be a cinch! The tutorial shows 2 methods for turning the strips right side out, the traditional turning of a tube right side out and an alternative folding in the sides and topstitching.
Here's the supplies you'll need:
- Fabric strips. If using TWO different fabrics, two 15" x 1.5" strips of fabric + 2 strips of light or medium weight interfacing with the same measurements. If using ONE fabric, one 15" x 2.5" strip of fabric + interfacing of the same measurement. (if trying the alternative turning method, the interfacing for this will be 2 inches in width instead of 2.5 inches.
Hem tape OR glue stick
- 1” key fob hardware (you can buy them HERE in different 4 colours!)
- hammer
- large safety pin (to help turn tube)
Video Tutorial:
****Note error in video - She sews her tube ends shut on both sides, but you need them open to turn the tube! You should only sew down the 2 long sides.****
